Hajerne og tornadoen er tilbage. Og denne gang er det New York, det går ud over! Den første film blev en overraskende succes især takket være twitter. Og den største succes på sidste års Blodig Weekend. Så selvfølgelig får filmen en fortsættelse - og selvfølgelig viser vi den på dette års festival. Ian Ziering og Tara Reid er tilbage igen, ligesom motorsaven og de flyvende hajer.

Store dele af Nordamerika ligger i ruiner, og resten af verden frygter det uundgåelige - en global sharknado. Fin og hans familie bliver derfor nødt til at forsøge at sætte en stopper for sharknadoen én gang for alle.
